Are affirmations even beneficial?
While there is mostly anecdotal evidence for the benefits of affirmations, you can still find some research papers that explore and prove their benefits.
This 2023 Turkish study suggested that positive self-affirmations helped to reduce anxiety and possible discomfort of surgery patients.
And, a much earlier study out of Carnegie Mellon University found self affirmations improved the problem solving performance of stressed out, underperforming participants. They actually performed on par with their non-stressed out peers.
So, affirmations can certainly help with a boost of confidence.

I am enough
