I’ve been struggling recently with my health journey but I found these weight loss affirmations to be really helpful and inspirational.
So, I thought I’d share them with you just in case you were looking for a little extra motivation.

Give yourself some grace
Before getting into the affirmations, I think it’s really important to talk about shaming and judgement. They are the big obstacles in the room on our weight loss journey.
The thing I have realized though is you can’t shame or judge yourself into change.
If you adopt what society tells you to look like, please try to avoid shaming yourself if you don’t conform to the standards!
Most of our scientific studies are done on men – usually with European genetics. There is such limited data on women – and even less on women of color.
Didn’t they ban new research focusing on women too?
So, it may be possible that what could work for you in your weight loss journey hasn’t been studied by scientists YET. Maybe you can explore ancient traditions like Chinese medicine and Ayurveda instead.
When the Tiktok ban loomed over us in 2025, many flocked to Red Note. I joined too and learned about the benefits of Tai Chi, qi gong and red jujube date tea for women’s health. I tried them all and they really helped me!
So, new ideas and experiments are out there that may be better for your needs.
In terms of mentality, I truly believe loving yourself and giving yourself grace are the keys to sustained weight loss.
Kick shame and judgement to the curb. Allow yourself to be fully empowered and confident in the current body you are in.
